Our Favorite Winter Guest Activities

Edgewater is proud to welcome winter guests to the increasingly popular winter vacation spot -- Destin on Florida’s emerald coast. Warm winter climates, above average days of sunshine and the year’s brightest shades of emerald water are no longer the only winter attractions. New seasonal events and festivals have been added to the winter entertainment scene and while there are many choices, these are Edgewater’s top recommendations.

#1 30A Songwriter’s Festival. The 4th Annual 30A Songwriters Festival will take place January 18th through the 20th. This event features over 125 singer-songwriters and more than 250 performances. Venues range from spacious amphitheaters under the stars to intimate lounges where every chord plucked and note sung can easily be heard.

#2 Village of Baytowne’s 24th Annual Gumbo Festival.  Festivities kick off on Friday, February 15th with live music in the events plaza and special dinners at Baytowne restaurants from 6:00-9:00pm. The main event is held Saturday, February 16th in The Village of Baytowne Wharf with live Cajun music, delicious cooking demonstrations, and home-made gumbo.

#3 Harborwalk’s Winter Guest Concert Series.  HarborWalk Village invites all winter guests and locals for a free Sunday afternoon concert on the Destin Harbor. This special concert series runs from 2:00-4:00pm every Sunday afternoon for the months of January through March. Highlights include performances by the Ballet Conservatory, show tunes by Northwest Florida State College Show Choir and the reggae stylings of Coconut Radio.
