Forget your blanket and comfortable low back chair. Why not drive your boat up to catch a live concert or watch a popular movie outside and under the stars? It's coming this summer!
The special event series includes two live concerts featuring local headline bands, along with two popular boating-themed movies, both of which will be staged on the big screen in waterfront locations.
The Summer Boating Splash Series kicks off May 17 with a showing of Captain Ron featuring actors Kurt Russell and Martin Short. It will be shown at sunset on a giant 26' screen with concert quality sound at North Light Marina in Niceville.
The venue will also host a live concert featuring the band Heritage from 4-8 pm on June 28.
Things will be hopping on Destin harbor on July 26 as Cadillac Willy performs live from 4-8 pm.
And in keeping with the nationally promoted shark month in August, Jaws will be the featured flick on August 23, starting at sunset. The specific location site for these two events in/around the harbor will be announced.
The events are free to the boating public and "seating" will be available on a first-come first-anchor basis. Three national gold sponsors are already aboard for the event including Cobalt Boats, Scout Boats and Sea Hunt, all three leading new boat brands represented and sold by Legendary Marine. Additional local sponsors are also invited to participate.
