Which Wich and Smashburger are two new restaurants set to open at the Destin Commons. The recently expanded open-air lifestyle center was voted “Best Place to Shop” by the readers of Emerald Coast Magazine. On Friday, June 5th, Destin Commons will offer a total of sixteen dining options including: World of Beer, La Famiglia, Red Ginger, El Jalisco, Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl & Grill, Johnny Rockets, Red Brick Pizza, Panera Bread, Zoe’s Kitchen, Chipotle, Tropical Smoothie Café, Starbucks, Kilwin’s and Yogo Mogo.
Smashburger was started in Denver, Colorado in 2007. Today they have 310 locations in 33 states. Named “America’s Most Promising Company” by Forbes Magazine and receiving “Best Burger” awards in cities around the world, Smashburger sticks to their mission of changing the way people think about burgers. Along with burgers, chicken burgers and black bean burgers, a variety of salads, smash fries, sweet potato fries, spicy buffalo fries, veggie fries and haystack onions will be served. Localized food items with area inspired burgers as well as local craft beers will be added to the menu at the Destin, Florida location.
The first Which Wich opened in Downtown Dallas in 2003. Today Which Wich is all over the country and as of 2013 all over the world with its first international restaurants opening in Dubai, Mexico and Panama. They were named the “Fastest Growing Restaurant Chain” in the U.S. and Canada by Chain Store Guide. Which Wich offers a wide variety of sandwiches, lettucewiches, salads and Vegan options. Each sandwich is made to order with fresh ingredients and choice of wrapping whether it is white or wheat, bowl or lettuce. Which Wich also has a sweet menu with real ice cream milkshakes, cookies, ice cream cookie sandwiches, brownies and Wich Krispies.
Destin Commons is located at the corner of US Highway 98 and the Mid Bay Bridge Road, convenient to Destin condos. The mall features over 70 stores and restaurants including Bass Pro Shop, Belk Department Store and the AMC Destin 14-screen stadium style movie theater as well as an interactive pop fountain and Pirate’s Cove children’s soft play area. A full calendar of events including live music, beer and wine festivals, food festivals, Mardi Gras parades and more are offered year round at the Destin Commons.
