Locals and visitors are looking forward to 34th annual Destin Seafood Festival to be held October 5th – 7th 2012. The festival will once again be back at its original location along the Destin Harbor. After returning to the docks in 2011 the festival experienced an infusion of lifeblood due to the new setting. Crowds can now meander along the boardwalk amidst a festive ambiance of music and art, dine on delicious seafood and enjoy refreshing cocktails under the stars – all along a backdrop of local fisherman hauling in their catches and yachts docked for the event.
This free event will span three days and crowds numbering more than 60,000 are expected to attend. Festival chairman have stated that “this is so much more than a festival to us -- It is a tribute to the rich history of the Destin Harbor” and that “we are ecstatic to be a part of this event”. This three-day festival will be full of arts, crafts, music, food, entertainment, fireworks, and will simultaneously feature over dozens of musicians and bands on 10 stages with over 60 shows.
