Destin Restaurants with an Ocean View - Part 1

Many of our restaurants combine their cuisine with
breathtaking views of the gulf, for a special outdoor dining experience. Destin
is home to the largest fishing fleet in the state of Florida, and it should
come as no surprise that it is also home to some of the best fresh seafood
anywhere in the south. So check out some of our more popular beach side
restaurants!

Pompano Joe’s
Just a short 2 mile drive from the Edgewater resort is
Pompano Joe’s. A local favorite, Pompano Joe’s serves up fresh local seafood
with a Caribbean flair. This open air restaurant regularly features live music
on one end of their deck, or you can be seated on the opposite end for a
quieter beach experience. Their Caribbean style shines through in their Reggae
Rolls and Garlic Crusted Grouper.

The Crab Trap
A little farther to the west of Pompano Joe’s, The Crab Trap
offers grand views of the Emerald Coast and a variety of signature seafood
dishes. Try their Hot Crab Dip or She Crab Soup to begin your meal before
moving on to your entrée of Bronzed Grouper or Alaskan Crab Legs.

Back Porch
The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House has been a local
beach front favorite since 1979, when they were virtually all alone on the
Destin beach. Serving their signature smoked tuna dip, ice cold oysters and
famous char-grilled Amberjack, chances are if you’ve ever been to Destin,
you’ve been here.

Dewey Destin Seafood
Dewey Destin Seafood, located on Calhoun Ave., has
repeatedly been voted best outdoor restaurant on the Emerald Coast. Serving up
fresh seafood, guests can enjoy their meals at picnic tables set along docks
that overlook Destin’s famous “Crab Island”. Since Dewey Destin’s has a
panoramic view to the west, this is one of the best places to catch that
perfect sunset! They have also opened a separate location on the Harbor (on
Highway 98) that is more geared toward dinner service.

Harbor Docks
Located along the newly completed Destin Boardwalk, Harbor
Docks provides open air seating overlooking the largest fishing fleet in the
state of Florida. Harbor Docks is also a local favorite dating back to 1979
when it was nothing more than a shack with a few picnic tables. Today, they’ve
added on a bit, serving fresh, honest and healthy food, including sushi, Harbor
Docks is also a favorite of the local community.
