Baytowne Wharf has Annual Lantern Parade and 12 Nights of Lights. The 27th Annual Boat Parade Hits the Destin Harbor.
The Village of Baytowne Wharf will hold the 4th Annual Lantern Parade on December 14th beginning at 6pm. The community will come together and participate in the parade with unique, custom decorated lanterns in different shapes in celebration of the holiday season. Every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evening beginning on December 4th, Baytowne Wharf will host a holiday light show in the Events Plaza. From 6pm to 7pm, visitors will enjoy the festive light display with holiday music favorites. The 12 Nights of Lights will be on display every week until Christmas. Accommodations can be made at condos and vacation rentals in the area for those interested in staying overnight.
Every weekend in December, Santa Claus will be visiting the HarborWalk Village, available for photo settings. On Sunday, December 15th a collection of art from local and regional artists will be on display for Artwalk on the Harbor. From 11am to 4pm, art will be available to view or purchase. Sunday will also be the 27th Annual Holiday on the Harbor Boat Parade. This event is hosted by Destin History & Fishing Museum. Boats will line up at 5pm with judging taking place at Harry T’s restaurant. A fireworks display will be enjoyed after the parade. In the event of bad weather, the rain date for the parade will be the 22nd.
Throughout the winter season, The Village of Baytowne Wharf will offer outdoor ice skating at the Village skating rink. This is a Destin holiday event favorite and season passes are available for purchase. The ice skating rink will be open until February 2nd. HarborWalk Village will celebrate the New Year with live music on December 31st. There will be a fireworks show and the annual ball drop at midnight. Baytowne Wharf will also have a New Year’s Eve celebration with music, dancing, and fireworks over the lagoon.
