Vince Gill Concert Coming September 25th
Beach destination presents FREE concert
The Walton County Tourist Development Council (TDC) announced today that GRAMMY-winner Vince Gill will present a free outdoor
“Back to the Beach” concert Saturday, Sept. 25, in Beaches of South Walton as part of the TDC’s ongoing efforts to welcome
visitors back to this vibrant coastal community.
“We’re showing thanks to our visitors and residents with the opportunity to experience the musical talents of legendary Vince Gill,”
said Dawn Moliterno, executive director of the Beaches of South Walton TDC. “We hope this will entice those who have never been
to our destination with an added incentive to come and see our beautiful beaches and communities, as well as welcome back our
loyal visitors who may not have made it here this summer.”
The free outdoor concert will be held at The Links Golf Course driving range at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Gates will open
to the public at 4 p.m., so guests can come early to set out their beach blankets. The concert will begin at 6 p.m.
The show, which is free to the public, will be a ticketed event. Ten thousand complimentary tickets will be made available in the
next week.
Ample parking at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will be available for concert goers, including those not staying on property.
Shuttle service from various locations throughout Beaches of South Walton is being investigated in order to provide concert
attendees with free and easy access to the event.
Vince Gill, popular country singer and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, is a fan of the area’s beautiful beaches and
charming beach communities.
“We are so pleased and thankful that he has committed to headlining the ‘Back to the Beach’ concert,” said Moliterno. “His
support will help communities along Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast with the economic recovery we so desperately need while
proving that these beaches are as beautiful as ever.”
Gill, one of the most popular and most recorded country singers of the past quarter-century, is expected to play a 90-minute show.
He has sold more than 26 million albums and has received 20 GRAMMY awards throughout his career.
